Hifidelity equipment from the 60s and 70s had an extraordinary charisma and quality. As used equipment you can now specify devices, which were financially out of reach at that time. Unlike most of today's electronic devices these are constructed so, that they can still be repaired and delight us for many years with warm sound and solid appearance. I am mainly concentrated on the Japanese company Pioneer, which was one of the best manufacturers of high quality Hi-Fi equipment in the 1970s. 1973 Pioneer started, with the introduction of the SX-1010 receiver, the so-called "Receiver-Wars".
This culminated in 1977/78 in the Pioneer SX-1980. This monster, according to Wikipedia, has more than 460 watts per channel: "Though the new "Dynamic Headroom" measurement is specified in dB, .... of this amplifier, it was producing nearly 460 watts of short-term power synthesis under test conditions! "

Die HiFi-Geräte der 60er und 70er Jahre hatten eine außergewöhnliche Ausstrahlung und Wertigkeit. Als Gebrauchtgeräte kann man sich heute Geräte zulegen, welche damals finanziell unerreichbar waren. Im Gegensatz zu den meisten heutigen Elektrogeräten sind diese so aufgebaut, daß sie Reparaturen ermöglichen und uns noch lange Jahre mit warmen Klang und soliden Aussehen erfreuen können. Ich habe mich hauptsächlich auf die japanische Firma Pioneer konzentriert, die in den 70er Jahren zu den besten Herstellern hochwertiger HiFi-Geräte zählte.
Pioneer hat 1973 mit der Vorstellung des Receivers SX-1010 den sogenannten "Receiver-War" losgetreten. Das gipfelte 1977/78 in dem Pioneer SX-1980, welcher laut Wikipedia mehr als 460 Watt pro Kanal leisten konnte: "Though the new "Dynamic Headroom" measurement is specified in dB, it should be mentioned that based upon the short-term signal used to measure the 2.3 dB headroom of this amplifier, it was producing nearly 460 watts of short-term power under these test conditions!"
